Gridiron earned elite Pathfinder honors in the 2010 Pathfinder Report!

Gridiron progeny stand out for their superior conformation and structural soundness. Gridiron is 9 years old, and he is in great shape and doing well. Cattlemen appreciate the natural thickness and muscle Gridiron puts in his progeny. His daughters are feminine and have become top producing cows at Hoover Angus. A Gridiron daughter produced the top selling bull ever to leave the farm at $47,500 -Hoover Dam, and the top selling female ever to leave the farm at $50,000 (Hoover Dame). Hoover Dam and Hoover Dame's mother recently sold 1/2 interest for $45,000 to Craigmore Farm in Ontario. There will be many Gridiron sons and daughters in our February 7, 2012 production sale.

Gridiron now records nearly 3000 progeny in over 380 herds. He is a dominant force for WW, YW, and Ribeye EPDs. Combine this with his high $Weaned Calf Value, and he is a logical choice for ranchers who sell their calves by the pound and retain replacement females. His WW EPD, YW EPD, and Ribeye EPD all rank in the top 1-5% of current Angus sires. Gridiron has the 43rd top $YG Value of all current sires in the Angus breed at +12.81 in the spring 2011 NCE. This proves he can add lean muscle growth to his progeny.

In our 2006 production sale, 24 Gridiron sons averaged $4635. They were the highest averaging sire group by nearly $1000.

Gridiron's dam is a $30,000 Whitestone Foundation donor and Gridiron's sire is the $23,000 GAR Grid Maker leased to Select Sires.
