Connealy Reward

Reward was the $30,000 second top-selling bull in the spring 2009 Connealy Angus bull sale. Reward is owned with Hawleys Gen X Angus of Arcadia, NE. He will quickly become our most popular calving ease sire. Reward accentuates low birth weight while having an attractive profile and plenty of thickness. He had an actual birth weight of 60 pounds, was 800 pounds at weaning and 1406 pounds at a year. Reward scanned a 4.88 IMF, ratio 107 and a 14.4" ribeye, ratio 105.

Our first large group of Reward calves was born in the spring of 2011, and many sons and daughters will be featured in our 2012 production sale. They are low birth weight calves that are stylish and easy to look at. A Reward heifer calf was the #2 adjusted weaning weight heifer of Reward's first calf crop at 783 lbs., WR 128!

Reward's dam was a first calf heifer, and now with her third calf weaned, records 3-92 BWR, 3-106 WR, 2-108 YR, and 2-115 Ribeye ratio. Her second bull calf by Connealy Answer 71 sold for $7000.

Connealys had fall 2010 calves born by Reward. Hawleys report they really like their first set of Reward calves from the spring of 2011. Many spring and fall heifers in our February 7, 2012 production sale will sell bred to Reward.
