Titanic was the second top-selling and lead-off yearling bull at $10,250 in the February 2008 Assman Land & Cattle sale. He was the #1 WW bull in the offering, weaning at 900 pounds to ratio 123! His WW EPD ranks in the top 3% of the breed after his first calf crop has been weaned. He offers an outcross pedigree to our repeat customers while not sacrificing the traits our customers want most. Moderate birth. . . explosive growth. . . a commercial cattlemen's dream! His first progeny will sell in our 2010 production sale.
Titanic froze semen his first day at Hawkeye Breeders. His dam was a first calf heifer stemming from a line of great milking cows. We are excited about his excellent genetic package and fresh pedigree he brings to our operation.
Titanic's first set of calves were short gestation cattle, and they look excellent. The Titanic calves appear to be some of the highest growth calves of our spring 2009 crop. Females sold bred to Titanic in our February 2009 production sale and will sell in 2010 also. He was used heavily in our 2009 breeding program.
