The group traveled through Iowa, Nebraska, and Kansas learning about the different segments of the beef industry as part of the four-day event.  First, attendees heard an overview from Association and Angus Journal staff, as well as updates from Dr. Tom Field, NCBA, and Tom Brink of the largest cattle feeding operation in the world, Five Rivers Cattle Feeding.  The next day, the group toured the Tyson/IBP plant in Dakota City, and Whole Foods in Omaha.  Gregory Feedlot in Tabor, Iowa was the next stop before rounding out the day with Mark Allan of Pfizer Animal Genetics speaking about genomics.  The final day in Nebraska was a tour of the Cargill value added plant in Nebraska City, Sysco in Lincoln, the US Meat Animal Research Center in Clay Center, and Gottsch Feedyard in Red Cloud...</description>
