Hoover Angus Farm’s 17th Annual, 79th Anniversary Sale held Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at the Creston Livestock Auction in Creston, IA averaged $2,470 on 189 lots. Cattle sold to six different states. 101 bulls averaged $3118. 22 two year-old bulls averaged $3323, 22 fall bulls averaged $3220, and 57 yearling bulls averaged $2999. 14 open heifers averaged $1745, 53 spring bred heifers averaged $2002, and 21 fall bred heifers averaged $1015. Top bull: Lot 42, H&K Gridiron E160, sold for $9500 to Oak Bend Farm II, Pilot Mound, IA for 2/3 interest. He was a 2-20-06 son of TC Gridiron 258. Second top bull: Lot 1, H&K Gridiron E18, sold for $7500 to Hawleys Gen X Angus of Arcadia, NE for 2/3 interest. He was a 2-3-06 son of TC Gridiron 258. Third top bull: Lot 76, H&K Fame D263, sold for $6500 to Mark Kurimski of Lovilia, IA. He was a 3-16-05 son of SAV Fame 9312.
